  1. wow, never seen or even heard of the existence of these pictures before!! are you sure they are by ted? I have read all the main books about him; so where did you discover these? Thanks so much for the post +I hope you blog some more~

    1. Tom, I am certain these were drawn by Ted. In fact, a couple of the sketches can be seen in Bundy’s prison cell in the movie “The Riverman.” However, I can’t remember where I initially discovered this information.

  2. wow, never knew he was an artist. That Freedom sketch is powerful! The skull, the arm holding the sword, and the women with her arm missing seems to imply that freedom can only come through death and sacrifice. What do you think it means?

  3. Michelle…I think all of the sketches are a reflection of how Bundy saw himself. He saw freedom as being allowed to kill women instead of being locked up. He drew all of these sketches in prison, by the way.

    1. It has been so long since I posted them, I’d be hard pressed to remember. They make an appearance in the Riverman movie with Cary Elwes. You can see them in his prison cell.

    2. Bundy was quite an artist, gotta give credit where its due.The skull basically represented the severed heads of the washington victims that bundy had kept as trophies.

  4. The sketches came from my old website. Their use in the movie was a betrayal of Bundy’s victims’ families, who would have benefited from the use of the images had the producers bothered to ask for my permission to use them. I am working on an expanded presentation of the “Darksider Sketches” that will be published at DarksiderPress.com.

  5. HI E.J, my dad was a policeman and had a book on serials killer that’s how i discovered that was Ted Bundy, i was born in august 1975 when he was arrested.
(I discovered your blog by chance thanks for sharing,(I am not American).
About the drawing that represents the woman, the skull and the sword I find that satanist ,I read somewhere that the Bundy family was illuminati ,I read somewhere that the Bundy family was?

    1. Hey, so glad you found the blog! I had never heard that the Bundy’s were involved in the Illuminati. They were a very simple family and it’s doubtful they were involved in anything so counter-culture. Bundy was nothing if not a dyed in the wool Republican. He never understood his peers fighting back against the status quo, so I wouldn’t say that rumor was true.

      1. Thank you for responding quickly, I would like to add that the condition of Ted Bundy is really sad I think he suffered a lot inside because of the “force” that consumed him (the word force used by satanists however sorry to insist but you seem to know well then I forget this theory) … I continue to browse the blog that interests me a lot … I will have other questions, perhaps. Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

      2. You are correct, Bundy definitely suffered because of what he called “the entity.” It is the name he used for his dark side. Please reach out if you have further comments. Your English is really good!

    2. They were quite ordinary, lower middle-class people without much education. I doubt they ever heard of the Illuminati.

  6. Wow! I’ve actually never seen these. I find it interesting the way he drew himself. Big broad shoulders. Striking a pose. Hair parted. Hands in his pocket. He thinks he’s very cool. Better and smarter then everyone. Thank you for sharing.
